The Dorje (pronounced door-jay) is a Tibetan spiritual-magical implement of great beauty and utility. It encompasses both art (as an artistic-archetypal representation of the ultimate spiritual dynamic) and function (as a form-energy transceiver, an active meditative-ritualistic component).

While “Dorje” and its corresponding Sanskrit term “vajra” are generally translated as “thunderbolt” — a useful symbol for this device as it was archaically the thunderbolt of Indra, the Hindu Jupiter — the true meaning is actually far more comprehensive. The Dorje represents the highest spiritual power, that which is irresistible, invincible, indestructible and inexhaustible -- free from conflicting emotions.

In Tibetan “do” means “stone” and “rge” means “master”, and the “master stone” is considered to be the diamond: for its nobility, purity, clarity and ultimate hardness. The Master Stone is of course the Philosopher’s Stone or prima materia of the Alchemists, and this symbolism is apropos for the dorje. The secret of the Philosopher’s Stone is that anyone who attains it can no longer use it for base purposes such as riches and immorality as it will leave them spiritually dead.

Pinolith

Pinolith is a comforting stone that helps diminish feelings of loneliness, stress and anxiety.  It is also suggested that it will help with restlessness and sleep disorders.

 

This very rare, grey and white semi precious stone. First discovered in 1873 and comes from only one location in the world-the magnesite deposit at Sunk, Hohentauern, Niedere Tauern, Styria, Austria. 

Pinolith was mined in WWII for its high manganese content. 

 

Pinolith helps show that living itself is a spiritual experience. You don't need to see wonders every day to appreciate the sense of spirituality that even the mundane things in life have to offer.

 

It is a metamorphic rock containing magnesite as white crystals in a grey dolomite and graphite matrix. It is named Pinolith because the magnesite inclusions resemble pine cones in shape.

Laguna Lace Agate

Laguna Lace Agate is the most highly praised banded agate in the world. It is known for its extremely tight banding and vibrant shades of red and scarlet. Laguna Lace Agate is found in an area covering roughly four square miles in a remote mountain range in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico.

Though predominantly scarlet, its layers may contain shades of deep red, milky white, yellow, gold and brown. The name Agate comes from the Achetes River in Sicily, where Agates were first found. Usually banded in layers, or stripes, some varieties have “eye” markings, or specks of colour.
